Blue Cafe

The band was formed eight years ago by violinist and composer Paweł Rurak-Sokal. At present it consists of: Paweł Rurak-Sokal and Dominika Gawęda and Michał Niewiadomski, Piotr Grąbkowski, Piotr Sławiński, Sebastian Kasprowicz, Marcin Błasiak and Łukasz Moszczyński.
In 2001 the group released their first single Espaniol, and the follow-ups: Łap mnie bejbe and I'll Be Waiting convinced the Akademia Fonograficzna (Phonographic Academy) to honour Blue Café with the New Face of 2001 Award. In 2002 the group presented the song Kochamy siebie at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole which brought them the Journalists’ Award.

Ewelina Flinta


Ewelina Flinta, a girl with talent, temperament and… luck! She is interested in photography, cars and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen. She wanted to become a lawyer but her great passion in life prevailed… “If I wasn’t involved in music," says Ewelina smiling, “I would probably find fulfilment in charity – this is the best I can do apart from music.”

Kayah



Said to be the best Polish female vocalis and undoubtedly the most charismatic star of the Polish music scene. Her participation in a musical event is a guarantee of a world-class show. Kayah has recorded 6 albums: Kamień, Zebra, Kayah i Bregovic, JakaJaKayah, Stereo typ, The best & The Rest.

Krzysztof Krawczyk

Vocalist, guitarist and composer. He took his singing classes in the Secondary School of Music in Łódź. He made his debut in 1963 in the Trubadurzy band with which he worked with various changing members until 1976. Trubadurzy were in their heyday when the band included: Ryszard Poznakowski, Krzysztof Krawczyk, Marian Lichtmann and Sławek Kowalewski. Some of their most popular songs include: Znamy się tylko z widzenia, Krajobrazy, Byłaś tu, Kim jesteś, Ej, Sobótka, Sobótka.

Lidia Kopania


On 27th October 2006 she released her debut album Intuicja (Intuition) which was described by the journalists as a “very feminine Intuition.” Lidia’s extraordinary vocal possibilities were discovered by chance by the organisers of Miss Teen Poland where she won the title of the Journalists’ Favourite. She was chosen to sing the leading song of the contest. Even before she started her studies of the history of art she met Robert Janson who was fascinated with her voice and wrote the song Niezwykły dar especially for her.

Maryla Rodowicz

Maryla has recorded: 14 LPs, 16 CDs (official), 3 CDs Specially for the Most Faithful Fans (an edition of 50 copies), 64 vinyl singles and CDs released in Poland, the USSR, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Great Britain, about 150 songs recorded by Polish Radio – the so-called “radio recordings”, a multitude of cardboard records called ”postcard records” – about 50 official ones, i.e. released by state companies/ institutions and at least the same number manufactured in private “presses”, in total over 800 songs, and if you include foreign language versions and arrangement variations this number would definitely exceed a thousand.

Monika Brodka

Monika Brodka comes from a family with a musical tradition. She grew up in a small town near Żywiec and, as she recalls, all her family members were involved in music. “My grandfather played the trumpet, mother played the violin, brother the double bass, and father anything that could be played…”

Piotr Rubik

Composer, conductor, producer, multi-instrumentalist. He graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw where he studied under professor Andrzej Zieliński. He studied film music under Ennio Morricone in Siena, Italy. As concertmaster of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra (110 musicians from 35 different countries) he has given concerts in South America and Europe, he has also performed with such renowned conductors as Charles Dutoit and Vernon Handley. He was also the leader of the cello section in the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra.

Reni Jusis


Vocalist, composer, lyric writer, precursor of club music in Poland. She has already released 5 albums and has worked with legendary artists of the Polish music scene, including Michał Urbaniak, Urszula Dudziak, Ewa Bem and Marcin Pospieszalski, to name but a few. Her music is a combination of dance, pop and electronic music.

Stachursky


Stachursky – rebellious artist. He always goes against the tide, both in his life and music. He started as a rock musician but soon became an icon of the best kind of Polish dance music. He was widely criticized by the critics but the public loved him. And it is the public that gives Jacek most of his strength and joy. He is excellent in communicating with the audience during concerts, which makes each of his performances a unique experience to the listeners.

Zakopower

So far this band has presented traditional highlanders’ music characteristic of the Podhale region. It has also been acclaimed by experts in folklore music (main awards at the folklore festivals in Kazimierz, Żywiec and Nowy Targ). The album Musichal, produced in collaboration with Mateusz Pospieszalski, contains, apart from folklore sounds, modern and intriguing arrangements associated with the latest trends in club music. The folklore sound and lyrics sung in the highlanders’ dialect are combined with rich and spatial arrangements.
